Festivals of Granada, Spain

On 2nd of January takes place the Fiesta de la Reconquista (festival of the reconquery), with several processions. At the town-hall is raised the banner of Spain's catholic kings.

During easter week there are numereous beautiful processions.

On 3rd of May is the Day of the Cross, in all the town are raised crosses that are decorated with flowers.

At the end of May take place Granada's International Theater Festival.

Corpus Cristi is celebrated with a nation-wide famous procession and bullfights.

At the Festival of the Albaicin, 29th of june, pilgrims arrive, on horses and horse-coaches, to the Hermitage of San Miguel.

At the end of june Granada celebrates its International Music and Dance Festival, one of the most important in all Europe, with performances in the palaces of the Alhambra and in an open-air theater in the Generalife gardens.
